This summer I bought a small ring flash and tried it out at the SOPHA Studios in Manchester, NH. By the way, these people have a great operation, and should you need a studio space, they are the ones to contact.
With Herbie Hancock playing and Norah Jones singing, I've been staring out my darkroom's window - well, actually, I am sitting at my computer - the darkroom of the new digital photography era -- at the mist shrouded mountains... the last days of Summer .... I have been editing/developing in Apple's Aperture and Adobe's Photoshop, trying to get a couple of images ready for printing.
I just printed this image on Moab's Anasazi Canvas Premium.
I have been a photographer for over a forty years. The first time I tried photography was in college; my camera and all my slides got stolen.......
The second time, my photographic experience got better. I got a "modern" camera to take pictures of my son. Then it was my son and the neighbor kids. Several parents came to me and asked me to take portraits of their children..."real" portraits, not Sears' portraits........
Then it happened, "My daughter is getting married........". I became a wedding photographer, a weekend warrior.
Today, after over a quarter of a century, I am becoming an art photographer.............
