We have reached that wonderful time of year when Punxsutawney Phil has or hasn't seen his shadow. Currently, the sky is a bright blue and the temperature is 17º F. We have had a few days of above 32º F, just a taste... enough to think that there would be a chance for an outdoor shoot where the model wouldn't freeze her assets. But, alas, winter is still with us... and no models are venturing out.

Nubble Lighthouse (Cape Neddick, York, Maine
Every year since we (my wife and I) cast my parents ashes to the winds on October 31 (the anniversary of my parents first date), we visit this lighthouse so that I can talk to them. Each year I take a picture, I thought I would share this one with you.

Katie Marie
A couple of weeks ago, my wife and I spent a long weekend at my friend's condo, again. He was off to a sunnier clime, Hawaii.
I scheduled a photo shoot with Katie Marie, a model from Model Mayhem.
This is one of my favorite images of her. For other images of her please check out www.thebadgerden.org
(This image created with my Pentax 645, 75mm lens and 400 ASA Kodak film. Negative scanned, and processed in Photoshop.)

Hampton Beach, NH
I may not have mentioned it before, I retired from the workforce in June of last year (2009) for a number of reasons, among the reasons... stress... my glucose levels were averaging in the high 200s, my blood pressure, well, it was close enough to my glucose levels so that it was of a "concern". Since I have retired my health both mental and physical are better.
Here it is mid-week, and my wife and I are down at Hampton Beach staying at a friend's condo while he is in Hawaii. His condo looks out over the beach. This morning, after a storm, the sky is a light grey-blue, and the water is a darker grey-blue with white caps. The beach has received gifts from the storm, birds are out dodging the incoming tide, picking up bits of shell fish that had been dashed against the rocks.
